Crane rental
Our state-of-the-art cranes are tailored to a wide range of conditions, from inner-city projects to sites with limited space or uneven terrain. Every operation is carried out with maximum precision and an absolute focus on safety.
Flatbeds and exceptional transport
When standard transport is not sufficient, Desutter Group provides the right solution. But you can also rely on us for regular flatbed transport. With purpose-built vehicles, experienced drivers and well-concidered route planning, we deliver every load safely and efficiently to its destination. Our expertise ensures smooth execution, regardless of size or complexity.
Tipper trucks
Desutter Group operates an extensive fleet of trucks for earthmoving, asphalt and bulk transport in the region. Our tipper trucks are rapidly deployable, designed for intensive use and operated by experienced drivers with a strong focus on safety and precision.
Storage
Desutter Group offers strategically located storage facilities near Kortrijk and Ghent. Our modern sites provide both indoor and outdoor storage for pre-fabricated components, machinery and other industrial assets. The safety of your goods is our top priority. In addition, our storage solutions can be efficiently combined with specialised transport and/or lifting operations.
Our history
A family business growing alongside its customers
Since its founding in 1996, Desutter Group has steadily built a strong reputation in lifting operations and transport. Growth and professionalisation run as a common thread through our story, without losing the family-driven and collegial character that defines us.
Today, we combine the strength of a major player with the commitment and flexibility of a family business. This is reflected in every detail: transparent communication, efficient planning and respect for deadlines, people and equipment.
1996
Foundation of Destrans
Brothers Jan and Frederik Desutter establish Destrans, the first company of what would later become Desutter Group. The company starts with a fleet of tipper trucks and site vehicles, focused explicitly on transport for the construction sector.
2001
Acquisition of Ville de Courtrai
The Desutter brothers acquire the established transport company Ville de Courtrai, thereby strengthening their position in flatbeds and exceptional transport through an expanded range of low loaders, flatbed trailers, and extendable trailers.
2006
Foundation of Kranen Desutter
Desutter Group acquires Despriet Kranenbedrijf. Despite its strong name and reputation, a new brand identity is chosen: Kranen Desutter. The company grows to become a specialist in mobile cranes up to 700 tonnes for the construction, steel and chemical sectors.
2006
One integrated group
All activities are brought together under one brand: Desutter Group. Cranes, transport and tipper trucks are managed as one fully integrated organisation.
2011
Relocation and centralisation
Activities are centralised at the new head office on the De Blokken industrial estate in Harelbeke.
2019
New location at Ghent Seaport
A strategic step towards national expansion, the site is designed for heavy storage and houses part of the crane division.
2022
International expansion
Desutter Group crosses the border and realises its international ambitions in Northern France.
2025
Logistic expansion
A new logistics site is established in the De Pluim industrial zone in Zwevegem.
Today
Ready for the next challenge
Desutter Group continues to grow, with the same focus on availability, flexibility and human commitment. In 2026, Desutter Group will open a new site in De Pluim, Zwevegem, with a training facility. The site will also include an event space named SILO.

As a crane rental and transport company, we actively contribute to building a sustainable future. We combine strength, efficiency, and innovation with respect for people and the environment.
We continuously invest in modern, energy-efficient equipment. For example, we have already invested in hybrid mobile cranes and are taking concrete steps toward reducing CO₂ emissions. By using next-generation cranes and vehicles, we reduce fuel consumption and emissions while continuing to guarantee maximum performance for our clients.
In addition, we optimize our transport planning to minimize empty mileage. Efficient routes and smart bundling of transports reduce environmental impact while ensuring reliable and cost-effective service.
